Robotic Assisted Surgery

Robotic Assisted Joint Replacements have been around for a while.

As with all new technology progress continues and Mr Veysi is proud to use the most up-to-date Robotic Assistant in knee replacements.

He is the first surgeon in Yorkshire to use the VELYSâ„¢ Robotic-Assisted Solution to carry out Total and Partial Knee Replacements.

Robotic surgery, and particularly the VELYSâ„¢ Robotic-Assisted Solution offers a number of potential advantages over the traditional way of doing knee replacements.

VELYSâ„¢ allows the operating surgeon to carry out a very accurate assessment of the knee in a way that is not possible with traditional methods.

Why have Robotic Surgery?

It enables precise planning of the knee replacement before any bony cuts are made, informing the surgeon about the likely outcome of the operation.

The surgeon, assisted by the robotic arm then performs the procedure by executing the previously made plan.

This additional information, planning and accurate surgery means that there is less soft tissue damage during the operation aiding quicker recovery.

Mr Veysi works with a skilled team at the Spire Leeds Hospital to deliver VELYS™ Robotic Assisted Solution knee replacements.
